Kelvin release
Small project for small entertainment: This game was made in about week and have gameplay for ~10 minutes.
Kelvin is simple simulator of heat distribution, which provides itself like sandbox with some features like local changing temperature with instant distribution effect, generators or absorbers of heat, changing speed of heating, heat distribution or game and some other.
The game name, Kelvin, is taken from Kelvin temperature scale, an absolute thermodynamic temperature scale, meaning it uses absolute zero as its null (zero) point. So, Kelvin scale temperatures linearly represents energy which contained in object and it cannot have negative values, because you cannot have negative energy. The smallest possible temperature in universe is 0 K, or -273,15 C (Don't believe into -300 C, or something like thing). Actually, despite interface of game uses Celsius scale, code and all calculations use Kelvin scale, what made my development a bit easier.
In my game it's easily possible to reach lowest and very high temperatures (up to some millions degrees) and this provides very intresting effect in "battle" of heat and cold: Heat generators are fully effective, because they can accumulate heat in their and nearest pixels. At the same time, cold generators cannot accumulate cold, because they don't, that's why they work not fully effective. Actually, they just consume heat. that's how it works. That's how world works.
This game can provide some themes to think about how heat and energy in world is working. How whole world is working. Or you can just play this game like Paint with unusual pencil. :D
